“Making” vs “Creating”
Channeling Jesus. Message received June 28, 2023.
Tonight’s meditation was with ACIM Lesson 179: “God is but Love, and therefore so am I; There is one life, and that I share with God; Your grace is given me. I claim it now.” As I was sitting there, I could feel the energy tingling through my head, up and down my back, into my arms and hands. It was strong - and then a whisper of an idea came into my mind. I know this feeling well now - when I’ve emptied my mind and I’m sitting with my breath, the energy comes, then a thought comes into my mind: it’s the nudge to channel a message. Here it is.

“I am that one you know as Jesus. Today we want to discuss the difference between making and creating. This one you know as Cassie has encountered this teaching recently - through my instruction - and it resonates deeply because she is beginning to remember the truth. In your society these two words are used interchangeably as synonyms, but this is not the case.
The word making implies that you must work for what you’re doing. It is the ego’s word for yielding a result, because the ego will try to control all aspects of the outcome. Creating, however, comes from Spirit - it comes from All That Is, from Love: this is what you were made for - to create in Love. The difference is that *this* type of bringing something into existence is led by your heart - your internal guidance system - Spirit. You feel the nudge to do something, so you follow that - not trying to control any outcomes - staying present - experiencing the now - and finding the beauty in whatever comes out of that.
Can you feel the difference? Try it this way: “Making Love” versus “Creating Love”. No, we don’t mean sex - but we can use that as an example if you wish. To make Love with someone, with the words in this context, would mean that your ego is in charge. It’s looking for the pleasure only - the great orgasm - and if it’s subpar, then the whole act is a disappointment. There’s a plan that the ego has for this: certain maneuvers and key “erogenous zone” stimulation to get to the end point - maybe you aren’t going as fast as you can to get there - but there’s certainly little savoring of the experience. Let’s compare that with “Creating Love”: Spirit leads the way here - and maybe that freaks you out a bit, but don’t let it. All we desire on our end is that you are happy and knowing Love - we cherish the opening you feel with the power that is your sexual energy. Back to this discussion: in creating Love you are Spirit-led. You desire to give to the other party - for the sheer joy and pleasure that brings. There’s no hurry. There’s a lot of exploration, communication, sensuality. And the end is a culmination of the building up - not for the sake of making any resulting orgasm “better” (if that was the case, you’d be back in the “making” mindset), but for the sake of creating this masterpiece of Love. Now do you see?
This is applicable to anything you do in your lives: from the mundane, everyday tasks to the special occasions you hold dear. Choose to create with your Love - the Universe will reflect all that giving and joy right back to you and you will reap the harvest of those seeds of Love you have sown. Notice when you’re making instead - it happens a lot, and can be an easy habit to fall into when you’ve worked a long day and still need to eat dinner and get the kids ready for bed. Take those tasks and create Love with them instead - try more intentionality (“I will add Love to this meal that I’m preparing for my family.”, “I will make deep eye contact with my loved ones while they tell me what’s important to them this evening before bed.”, or “I am being Love in all that I do.” See how your experiences change and reflect all the beauty that is *you*, right back at you.
In Love and light we are with you always.”
