Entry 49
About death.
Lesson 163 in A Course In Miracles: “There is no death. The Son of God is free.” When I read this lesson last year, it seemed to be only words to me: there were a lot of beliefs that needed to be examined, all culminating in this great belief in “death”. But part of me - deep down in my cellular memory - knew that this statement was full of truth. I could and can see it in my relationship to the physical representation of death in others who were and are close to me - something I had noticed throughout my life and thought I was just “different”. Now I know it’s because I Know.
Today, my second time through the lessons, I understand this lesson so much more - maybe almost perfectly - or at least that’s what is coming. I have found throughout this journey that, according to Universal Laws, you *can* make a switch to correct beliefs in an instant - but because of our conditioned separateness it tends to take us much longer. For me, I can “know” something intellectually for a long time, but it’s only as I start to focus intently on a belief (or on shedding an old one that doesn’t serve me) that I begin to have experiences with that “aha!” moment attached. Today, in this lesson, that was what I received - and I’d like to share it with you.
During meditation I had a revelation of my own - then I got the nudge to channel about it further to share with you all. I understood what it meant in the limited words you’ll see quoted below, but further explanation and “fleshing out” of the information was in store so that I can relate this information well to others. It’s timely in our society - and personally for me - I was just asked about death in a weekly women’s circle at our last meeting. Enjoy, and much Love to you.

“It is I, St. Germain. You have had a revelation here in this Lesson, 163 of ACIM today and we will discuss it further. Please write your revelation here, now:
‘Continuous searching for “more” implies you don’t already have it; the desire to get ‘it’ “soon”, though indicative of trying, shows the presence / belief of lack, focus on time (which is an illusion) and, ultimately, in death. Because you needn’t strive to obtain what is true (and is already yours), and the focus on ‘when’ you obtain something - that rush to ‘have it now’ reinforces the belief of ‘limited time’ - death.’ - (Received during meditation this morning by Cassie)
(St. Germain continues): You already have everything you desire. You already have everything that God has provided - which is ALL that is true. You have Love, and from it the unending supply from the quantum substance of the Universe: yes - this includes three-dimensional things like food and security in your life here on this planet; but also the non-physical things that are eternal like your total creative power, your ability to utilize this power consciously any given moment, your ability to abolish anything but Love now and forever. You are eternal.
These are all concepts used and repeated in A Course in Miracles, with the intention of helping you change your mind - your perception - of what you have believed that life must be and is. You believe that death is inevitable. That everything else you can obtain through hard work, perhaps, but that those things are finite, eventually culminating forever in death. But this is not the truth. The truth is that death is illusion - as are all fearful ideas. It is only your preoccupation with these ideas that keeps death “alive” in your minds and, therefore to that mind, inevitable.
Consider this revelation you’ve had: Death as the idol. You believe that you don’t idolize death - you no longer give your attention to movies or other dramatized versions of it; but you are still operating in thoughts of lack at times.
Ask yourself where you feel lack in your life. This one finds it when she’s feeling exhausted - that she lacks energy, time, patience, personal space. She finds it when she’s judging herself - that she lacks the inherent abilities within to access the Divine (whether it be channeling, or connecting for a personal matter when her ego takes hold).
Watch how those ideas of lack connect next to the idea that the opposite of that lack needs to be pursued: “I need to have a nap and a bath and some yoga in order to feel rejuvenated, but I can’t do that until the dishes, laundry and dinner preparation are done.”, “I can’t get better at channeling until I take this course.”
Notice how the idea of lack feeds into the belief that time is limited: “I need more time.”, “I don’t have enough time to relax.”, “I want to read and sit quietly, but I must get all these things done today… maybe later.” You have attachments to similar ideas, personally, that hold you in your created space of lack
Can you see how these ideas feed death as an idol? If you are lacking anywhere, then time will come into play; when time is limited, the only thing that’s guaranteed at the “end” is death.
But death isn’t the end. And, despite what anyone says (i.e., “Rest in Peace”), it will not bring you peace. Peace is only available in each now moment. It is a choice you consciously make every second. It comes from the true forgiveness of yourself and others, from Divine Love, from Light - and from your knowing that you have access to that at all times, without delay. To make this truth stand out for you, you only need to believe it. Remind yourself that you are an eternal spiritual being, that you are as God created you, and that death isn’t real. You are free.”
